CNC Quality Control | ISO 9001 Process & Inspection Documentation
CNC Precision operates under ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management. Every order — from prototype to mass production — follows the same structured inspection workflow. We provide full traceability and documentation packages for export shipments to North America, Europe, and other international buyers.
Quality Process Overview
Our quality workflow covers four stages:
- Drawing Review (DFM) — Before production begins, our engineers review your drawing for manufacturability, tolerance fit, and material suitability. We flag any concerns before cutting starts.
- In-Process Inspection — Critical dimensions are measured during machining, not only at final inspection. First-off parts are always approved before batch production continues.
- Final Inspection — Every finished part is measured against your drawing requirements before release. We use calibrated gauges and, when specified, CMM equipment.
- Documentation & Traceability — Inspection reports, material certificates, and conformance documentation are prepared for every shipment.
Inspection Equipment
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) — for complex geometries and tight tolerances
- Digital calipers and micrometers — standard dimensional checks (±0.01mm)
- Height gauges and dial indicators — flatness, parallelism, concentricity
- Surface roughness tester — Ra measurement for finish verification
- Hardness tester (Rockwell / Vickers) — for material verification
- Thread gauges and pin gauges — thread and hole verification
- Profile projector — for small feature measurement
Documentation Available
We include standard documentation with every export order. Additional certificates are available on request:
- First Article Inspection (FAI) Report — full dimensional breakdown vs. drawing
- Material Certificates / Mill Test Reports (MTR) — chemical composition and mechanical properties
- Certificate of Conformance (CoC) — confirms parts meet specifications
- Dimensional Inspection Report — measured values for all critical dimensions
- Surface Roughness Report — Ra values measured on finished surfaces
- CMM Data — available for complex aerospace and medical components
- PPAP / APQP — available for automotive and regulated industry requirements
Quality Standards We Work To
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System
- ISO 286 IT6-IT7 — Dimensional Tolerances (standard ±0.01mm)
- AS9100 / AS9102 — Aerospace quality requirements (available on request)
- ISO 13485 — Medical device quality requirements (available on request)
Request Quality Documentation
Tell us your documentation requirements when submitting an RFQ. We routinely provide FAI packages, material certs, and CMM reports for aerospace, automotive, and medical buyers. Standard inspection reports are included at no extra charge with every order.
Quality Control FAQs
How do you inspect CNC machined parts?
We inspect dimensions based on drawing requirements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other suitable inspection methods depending on the part.
Can you provide inspection reports?
Yes. We can provide dimensional inspection records and other quality documents based on project requirements.
How do you reduce batch variation?
We use process control, setup checks, first-article confirmation, and production follow-up to reduce drift between batches.
Can you handle tight tolerance work?
Yes. We evaluate each drawing based on geometry, material, and process route, then confirm realistic tolerance capability before production.
